Shimby McCreery is an acoustical consultant, musician and firm believer in the transformational role conscientious architecture and acoustics can play in our everyday lives. Before founding Acustica in 2016, Shimby was employed by Kirkegaard Associates in Chicago for 10 years where he consulted on many prestigious projects including the Sydney Opera House. He has a Master's degree in Architectural Acoustics from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
